The frustration of those ground hogs eating all my vegetables every year has me baffeled and confused. They have even digging under my deck and the back steps that I am afraid that they will damage the foundation. I have been using a trap and releasing them in the park, but they are getting too smart for that. How do I protect my self and my property when they hit me from at least 3 directions?

I wish I had a pat answer but I don't know your local county regulations and whether or not there's a wildlife management group available to you. My best advice is to contact your county cooperative extension office and request assistance. They may have some tried and true remedies for you. If not, at least they'll be able to direct you to the local wildlife management office. I'm not sure of your county so here's the Rutger's extension website: http://njaes.rutgers.edu/count...
Click on your county name for location and phone number of your nearest extension office. Best wishes with your garden!
