If you can find seeds for Boston Ivy, they should be planted about a half inch deep and anywhere from 6-12" apart, depending upon how quickly you want them to cover the wall. If you plant them 12" apart, you'll need less than 40 seeds; if you plant them closer, you'll need twice as many seeds.
