What is a good fertilizer for established arbs? Do I fertilize newly planted arbs? What should I use?

You'll find evergreen fertilizer and fertilizer stakes in the garden center. The NPK ratio is about 8-8-8. You can feed your arborvitaes with this formulation, in amounts as listed on the label. I don't feed my evergreens unless their growth is poor or their color is pale. If you force growth with fertilizers your arborvitaes will be more susceptible to winter damage. As long as the plants look healthy, feeding isn't necessary. I wouldn't feed the newly planted arborvitaes. You want them to concentrate on establishing their root systems rather than putting out new growth. Best wishes with your evergreens.
