Am first time home owner. Want to grow front+back gardens with flowering shrubs+fruit+vegetable+herb plants.We get full sun but soil is little rocky.We are going to get additional loam+compost.Both the lawns are at steep so the water does not stand well,but we are planning to grow more grass seeds during fall, because the grass put by builder is patchy. Please suggest the best plants for NH.Thanks

New Hampshire Cooperative Extension has several publications that you might find helpful. Here's the website for flowering perennials.
