|Pinching is simply the removal of the tips of the stems of your coleus. When you pinch out (or snip off) the tiny little leaves developing on the tip of the stem you will force new branches to grow along the lower part of the stem. If you continue to pinch out the new growth when it reaches about 3" long, it will develop lots and lots of new stems and lots of colorful leaves. Hope this clarifies things for you.
