I have irish moss in my lawn and beds even in some of my pots. Again, what chemical is it that will kill this, esp. in my lawn. I dig it out of the other two areas. Thank you

Pretty as it is, Irish moss is invasive. It is a broadleaf plant, though, so a broadleaf weed killer containing 2,4-D should take care of it. You can spot treat with a product such as Ortho's Weed B Gon Max or use a weed and feed such as Scotts Turf Builder Plus 2. Best wishes with your eradication project.
