On my jalepeno plant and green pepper plant I just noticed black at the base of the branches coming off the main stem. Something to be concerned about or normal? What should I do if it's a problem? Kelly

The coloration is perfectly normal on pepper plants. It actually starts out purple and then changes to deep purple = almost black. It's normal and natural - nothing to be concerned about.
