is it possible to safely separate geraniums that are growing in hanging baskets. i see 4 in one basket.

You should be able to carefully remove the plants and separate them. I think the best approach is to remove the entire planting from the basket by laying the basket on its side and coaxing the plants and the potting soil entirely out of the basket. You can then gently pull them them apart (or cut between each plant to separate them). Then replant each in its own basket or pot. Enjoy your new plants!
