|I live in Chigago and I left my Elephant Ear bulb in the ground over the winter. Will it grow again?

|Only time will tell. Elephant's ear is frost sensitive but sometimes the ground will provide enough insulation to keep the bulb alive. If the bulb survived you'll see new foliage in late spring. If nothing emerges, replace the bulb. Elephant's ear is a fast growing plant and loves warm temperatures so even if you have to replace yours, the new plant will grow quickly.
