I keep soil moist and mist every day but the edges turn brown and dry out and die. What is proper fern care?

It might be that you are overwatering or overfertilizing your rabbit's foot fern or that there are chemicals in your water that the fern doesn't like. The soil should be damp but not soggy wet. Try watering throughly and then allowing the top of the soil to dry out before watering again. Misting will increase humidity around the plant so keep up the good work! If you feed your fern, use a quarter or half strength dilution of water soluable fertilizer. This will provide the nutrients your plant needs without the chance of salt build up or burn. Finally, you might try using bottled water on your fern. I hope following these guidelines will result in a healthy, happy rabbit's foot fern!
