|I have several leyland cypress trees that are dying and I would like to replace them with some type of hedge. I was told privet is fast growing and tolerats trafic. Would it be a good substutition? It will be right up to the road. Salt and fast cars will be an issue.

|Privet, Winterberry, Arrowwood viburnum and rosa rugosa (KnockOut roses) are all tolerant of salt spray. Of these, privet and rosa rugosa are the fastest growing. Best wishes with your new privacy screen.
