|I have a very old Lilac bush. How should I take care of it, feed it, mulch it. It looks like only one side of it is blooming this year, and I am not sure why?

|Sounds like your lilac needs a little renovation pruning. Lilacs spend the summer developing new growth and flower buds for the following year's floral display so you'll want to prune your lilac as soon as it has finished flowering. You can safely take the shrub back by about one-third all over which will encourage lots of new growth. The more new growth it produces this summer, the more flowers it will develop next spring.
