Your new plants will flower and produce fruit this year but we usually recommend you pull of the flowers before they begin to develop fruit so the plant can concentrate on developing lots of roots and a more mature crown. Next spring you can begin harvesting your strawberries from a healthier and more mature strawberry plant.
