A white film on the leaves can be the fungal disease called powdery mildew. Wiping it off will help, an application of fungicide will protect the leaves and stems that have not developed the disease. Better air circulation around the plant will help discourage the disease. If your plant is totally involved in the fungus, you may need to toss it and start all over with a healthy new plant. Or, you can try cutting off the worst of the problem and hope the rest of the plant doesn't develop the disease. Best wishes with your pothos!
