what causes the grass blades and roots to turn yellow?

Lots of things can cause the grass to turn yellow - over watering (poor drainage), a need for nitrogen or even a fungal disease. If you haven't fed your lawn yet this spring, feed it now. That might be all your turfgrass needs to green up. Hope so!
