I have 2 questions:

When can I transplant perennials?

What can I use for weed control in a vegatable garden that will still make the vegtable safe to eat?

Thank you

There are a couple of approaches you can take: You can lay several thicknesses of newspaper or cardboard over the bare soil between the plants to help suppress weeds or you can pull the existing weeds and use a weed barrier cloth over the entire bed then cut X's or slits in the fabric to plant your veggies. Either way, you shouldn't have to spend your time weeding your vegetable bed.

You can plant outdoors about the middle of May. Enjoy your garden.
