Do the deer chew on purslane? If so, what will stop them from doing this?

Hungry deer will munch on most anything so it's possible they've found your purslane. To protect your plant you might want to place a barrier over it. You can make a cylinder out of hardware cloth or chicken wire and set it over your purslane. Be sure to close up the top! Best wishes with your garden!
