what can I use to keep the bugs off them and from eating them? |
Houseplants can be really sensitive to pesticides so I'd suggest just washing any bugs off with plain water. Be sure to rinse the upper and lower leaf surfaces, and the stems and top of the soil, as well. If you think there are insects hiding in the potting soil you can immerse the container in a larger container of water and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. If there are any bugs in the soil they will float out. Allow the plant to drain in the sink after this treatment, to make sure excess water can drip out and not make a mess on your floor or tabletops. Good luck with your houseplants. |
