|You can trap slugs by setting a terra cotta pot upside down in your garden and propping up the edge with a stone or stick. Slugs will crawl in to hide overnight and you can scrape them out in the morning and replace the trap. Or, you can use the iron based bait called Sluggo. Any bait that is not consumed by slugs will degrade into simple iron and be absorbed by the soil.
