Hi. I'm looking for a fast-growing tree that will mature to around 20' tall. I would prefer trees that grow tall and not wide (more oval shaped than umbrella shaped). It would be in a spot that has full sun, but I have clay soil. I live in Pennsylvania.

Amelanchier canadensis has radiant, white flowers, dark green leaves turning to gold in the fall, with a height of 20' and a spread of 15' or Crataegus - Hawthorn laevigata ?Paulii?. It has shiny green foliage and red blooms in late spring. Height: 20? Spread: 20?. Hope these suggestions are helpful.
