Last year I grew a Lofos plant. I trained it to climb with a little persuading! My question: Can I plant this in a hanging basket and just let it cascade over? Do the blooms need support because it is a climber? I hope you understand my last question!!! :o)PEACE Thanksagain. -Tom

Luffa or loofah is a trailing plant and should be able to grow well in a hanging basket. I'm afraid you may need to support the developing fruit, though, because its weight could be enough to pull the plant out of the basket or pull hard enough to break the stem. Aside from that caution, you can grow a luffa in a hanging planter.
