I have a 4 foot high chain link fenced yard and a too slow dog to catch rabbits that come under the gate. Is there a best way to stopper up the gate bottoms?

We had the same problem and we dug out the area beneath the gate and set bricks in the trench, positioning them so they filled the space within a couple of inches of bottom of the gate. The gate still swings freely and, depending upon the amount of space you need to fill, the bricks or pavers may end up being a threshold a few inches above the ground level. You may need to step over it as you walk through the gate but it will keep the rabbits from entering.
