I am new to gardening. I have an area with full shade so I planted hostas but the area looks bare. What can I plant with them? Something that flowers would be good and I would prefer a perennial. I live in Georgia.

How about planting Bleeding Heart (Dicentra)? It's lovely when in bloom and will come back year after year. Astilbe, columbine, and coral bells also make good companions for hostas. Enjoy your new garden.
