My boxwood bushes have many many flying insects flying about them and my front porch. They are larger than gnats, smaller than flies. The main body is n orange color and the wings are clear. Can I get rid of them? They are a pesty thing when sitting on the porch. Thank you.

Boxwoods develop tiny, fragrant flowers this time of year and the flying pests are attracted to them. Your plants will stop bloom in about 2 weeks and the pests should be gone. Or, you can prune your boxwoods to remove most of the flowers. Either way, the insects will leaves in a week or two.
