red bugs on lily - Knowledgebase Question

i have planted lily in my yard a cple of yrs ago the frist time they bloomed they were fine now every yr they have these red bugs on them that look like bettles what can i do to get rid of them ... i also got more lily as a give last yr now they also have the same bugs please help???

Once you have determined that you have the red lily leaf beetle on your lilies, you have a few options to control their population before they eat all the leaves on your plant. You can check frequently and pick and squish all the lily beetles and their eggs that you can find. If you don't have many, that method may work well for you. Otherwise, you can apply an insecticide such as organic Neem Oil, or Bayer Rose and Flower Spray. Always use caution, read the label, and apply only as needed to keep pests under control when using any insecticide whether it be organic or not.
