| My gerber daisies seem as if it can not withstand the Hous. Tx heat 90, during the morning hours (6a-11a) they look very vibrant but 12p-5p the heat of the day they began to wither. I try to water them early (4am) in the morning to prevent the withering through the heat of the day. | Gerbera daisies will grow well in Houston. They prefer full sun but in your case, yo might want to give them a little shelter from hot afternoon sunshine. The wilting is more or less normal - the plant is trying to conserve moisture and as a result it wilts. I don't think it's very attractive, and I suspect that the wilting damages the vascular system when it happens over and over again so my advice is to plant them in a slightly more protected area or plant something on the sunny side so it will provide a little afternoon shade.
