I have read that you can cut the root of an artichoke into cuttings to help with propagation. Does this work and would the cuttings still produce as if they were 2yr old plants next year? Any info or advice on this? |
The main propagation method for artichokes is with root sections attached to basal stem pieces. These cuttings which are often referred to as "stumps". But, since they will be new, young plants, they won't be considered 2-year old plants. Hope this clarifies things for you! |
