Me and a friend purchased 2 boxes of Echinacea from home depot. The box stated we had 12 plants inside and we do not see any plants. All we see is this light brown dirt. Can you please tell us what is going on??

I'm not sure what kinds of boxes you purchased. If the box says there are 12 plants inside, I think that if you dig through the dirt you'll find 12 bareroot plants. They'll look like dried out sticks. If you find them, plant them in moistened potting soil or moist garden soil (following directions on the box). Your coneflowers should develop roots and grow for you in a few weeks. Hope this answrs your question!
