I purchased 2 multiple packs of tulips at home depot. I planted them in my garden like I was directed by employee. In one week all plants lost there petals. I am asking what to do now will they rebloom next year or should I plant something else. He stated they would last a while but to my disappointment they are dead in a week.

Tulips are spring flowering bulbs. When the petals fall off you can cut off the flower stalk. Leave the foliage alone. It will die down on its own and while it is still green it is manufacturing and transporting energy back to the bulbs for next spring's bloom. When the foliage dies down you can pull off the leaves. Next spring your tulips will flower again for you. Enjoy!
