When the tulips are done with showing off their beauty, how do you trim them for the next season.
How low do you cut the leaves?

Now that the flowers are spent, cut the flowering stem off the plant but the foliage should be allowed to ripen and die down naturally before it is removed. It is busy manufacturing and transporting energy back to the bulb for the following year's floral display. When the leaves turn brown you can pull them from the plant. Next spring your tulips will sprout and flower again for you. Enjoy!
