Phlox yellowing leaves - Knowledgebase Question

My neighbor gave me some phlox about 4 weeks ago and I immediately planted it. It's been doing great until yesterday when I found that the bottom leaves are turning yellow. Any ideas on what the cause of this is and how I can get them looking green again? Thanks, Megan

Phlox can be renewed by shearing them down by one half. This will prompt healthy new growth. Yellowing leaves can indicate overwatering, too, so be careful with the frequency of watering. Good luck with your plant.
