|You will need a second variety of apple tree for your red delicious apple trees to bear fruit. Try planting a Golden Delicious apple tree in your landscape. Historically, red delicious apples won't flower or fruit until their third year. You won't have to spray insecticides unless you actually see bugs. If you'd rather not use insecticides, try hosing the bugs off with a strong stream of water. Good luck with your trees.
