I bought one rose tree in apot at home depot.now how do i care for it ?do I leave in pot thru winter ? plant in ground?

Your rose will be happier if you plant it in the ground. If you leave it in the pot the roots will freeze solid over the winter. If you plant it in the ground you can mulch over the root area to help provide winter protection. You'll also need to protect the graft (the swollen area on the top of the stem) to keep it from freezing this winter. Wait until after the first frost and then wrap burlap, bubble wrap or other insulating material over the graft to keep it from dying. Enjoy your new tree rose.
