|It's normal for the oldest leaves to turn yellow and fall off the plants. As long as the plants are putting out new growth and are flowering, they are just fine. Squash develops both male and female flowers. The male flowers will fall off but the female flowers should develop fruit - as long as they have been pollinated by visiting insects. If they have not, the baby squash will drop off the vine. Young cucumbers will also drop off if pollination is poor. Insect activity is necessary for fruit set so make sure you keep insectides out of your garden, or at least use them sparingly. I think your squash and cucumbers will eventually hold and develop fruit - just be patient with them.
