It's difficult to stop bugs from flying all around. Because they are flying, they are almost impossible to control - unless you spray them directly and knock them down. It's normal for insects to inhabit a landscape. They are busy collecting nectar, transferring pollen (so flowers will produce fruit or seeds) and even preying on other insects. It's part of a natural balance. Gnats are also part of the eco-system. They feed and breed in decaying organic matter. Unless you have a yard full of gravel and without plants, you'll have insects. Wish there was a solution to shar with you.
