|Should these be planted in full son or partial sun? Secondly, does partial sun mean full sun for a part of the day? If so, is it best to capture the morning sun or afternoon sun since afternoon sun is generally hotter?

|Since Florida sun is pretty intense during the summer months, I'd plant the basil and the thyme in a spot that gets morning sun but is protected from the hot afternoon sunshine. Morning sun is intense enough to encourage growth but not so intense that it will burn the tender leaves of basil. Thyme can take slightly more sunshine than the basil, but still will appreciate some protection from the afternoon sun. Hope this clarifies things for you.
