|Late last summer I noticed my hostas had big holes in the leaves. What was the culprit and what is the solution?

|Slugs and snails love hosta leaves so I'm guessing that's who's eating your hosta leaves. I use an iron based slug and snail control product called Sluggo. It is harmless to wildlife, people and pets but it is death on slugs and snails. You just broadcast the pellets around your plants. Any product that is not consumed will break down into simple iron which the ground will absorb. Hope this works as well for you as it does for me!
