I want to transplant a Jackamani clemetis that is 3 years old. it is already growing for the season. Can I move it now? or will this year's growth wither?

You can move your clematis now and yes, the new growth will probably suffer, but as soon as the roots establish themselves in their new home you should see new growth. It's still early enough in the growing season for your clematis to develop some healthy new growth after the move. Best wishes with your project!
