My jalapeno's are starting to have a black color to them, what does this mean? Also, I was wondering if there are certain plant you can plant that dogs won't get into.

Black streaks on jalapeno peppers are normal and natural. They are just part of growing pepper plants. Sometimes you'll see the black on the stems and sometimes on the peppers themselves. It's just the nature of the plant. I'm not aware of any particular plant that dog's won't get into. About the only way to keep them out with with a fence or other physical barrier. Wish I had more informtion to share!
