|Marguerite Daisy is Chrysanthemum frutescens; Shasta Daisy is Leucanthemum x superbum. Both have daisy shaped flowers - Marguerite has yellow flowers, Shasta has white flowers. Both require lots of sunshine and both flower all summer long. I guess you could say they are cousins because they are both members of the Asteracea family.
