|You probably won't need to rototill it but you will need to dig the soil to loosen it and for best results you'll also want to work some organic matter into the soil prior to planting. I'd start by removing the existing vegetation and spreading 4-5 inches of compost or other organic matter over the top of the soil and digging it in to a depth of 8-10 inches. Level the soil and plant. You should have a healthy garden and a bountiful harvest.
