Beautiful then lower leaves turning yellow-sprayed for insects with no results-could this be the cause of too much watering?

It's normal for the lowest, oldest leaves to yellow and fall off tomato plants. If they look unsightly, just pull or clip them off. As long as your plants are developing new leaves and the new leaves look healthy, there's nothing wrong with your tomato plants. If all the leaves are yellowing, it indicates too much water. Best wishes with your tomato plants.
