Once the leaves turn yellow, they have finished their jobs and you can safely dig and replant the bulbs. You can either cut off the yellow foliage or you can wait until it dies out completely and then pull the dead foliage from the bulbs. Plant the bulbs twice as deep as they are wide. A little bonemeal in the planting hole prior to setting the bulbs will provide nutrients to the bulbs as new roots emerge late next winter and early next spring. Enjoy your daffs!
