I HAVE THREE FRANGAPANI'S THAT WERE SOFT, MUSHY AND SMELLY WHEN CUT OR BROKEN. I READ TO CUT THE BRANCHES UNTIL I SAW BROWN WOOD. I DID SO, BUT THEY DO NOT APPEAR TO BE COMING BACK. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

A mild overnight frost can nip the leaves and flower buds but usually the rest of the plant is okay. But it will take some time to recover. Give your frangipani a few more weeks. If you still see nothing, prune it back again. This may shock it into growing. Hope you see new growth soon!
