pineapple orange losig little fruit - Knowledgebase Question

After a rough winter my new pineapple orange tree set a lot of little oranges and now has dropped all but 3..should I worry? We live in Jacksonville, FL. Thanks

It's normal and natural for citrus to be loaded with blossoms but drop most of them without setting fruit. The tree senses what it can develop to maturity and will thin itself as the fruits start to set. I think your tree is just stressed from the cold winter weather. As soon as it builds up its reserves it will put out new growth and lots of flowers and fruit. Until then, just be patient with your tree. I hope it retains the fruit that's left and can grow it to maturity. Best wishes with your tree.
