How does one start up efficiently planned annual cutting beds for the purpose of selling these flowers to the public?

There is a big gap between growing flowers successfully for yourself and growing them on a commercial scale of any size, be it for a "pick your own" operation or to sell cut flowers as a florist would, or even to sell them to florists for either fresh sale or as dried cuts. You are wise to start planning far in advance! Here are some fact sheets which may be helpful as you begin to plan. You might also wish to contact your County Extension (825-1701) for more localized information and advice. Good luck with your project!
