What can I do to rid my honeysuckle of mites? They keep the beautiful blooms from opening. Also hummingbirds frequent my bush. I'd like something that won't harm them. Thanks!

Spidermites like hot, dry, dusty places and will usually vacate a plant if you regularly hose it off. Do this in the mornings so the foliage has a chance to dry during the day. Aside from plain water, I don't think there's anything you can use that will be safe for the hummers. If you cannot control the problem this summer, consider pruning your honeysuckle down early next spring to remove the most infested parts of the plants. Best wishes with your honeysuckle.
