|I'm ready to dig up my tulip bulbs and noticed one has split into several and another one has one new bulb. How do I store the new growths or do I have to leave them in the dirt so they can keep growing. Also I don't know where I'm planting my tulips next year and want to store the bulbs. Where is a good place to put them. My garage gets too hot and I don't have a basement.

|You can carefully separate the little bulbs from the parent. If a bulb has split it should be discarded. The bulbs will need to be stored in a cool, dry place. Try packing them in a shoebox or cardboard box filled with peatmoss and setting them in the back of a closet somewhere indoors. Good luck with your bulbs.
