|Will an Amaryllis bulb grow if planted in the yard?|
|Yes, most types of Amaryllis will naturalize in your part of the country. Plant them in a well drained area with lots of added sand and organic matter. They will prefer some dappled shade in the mid to late day period. Put a handful of bone meal in the soil at the bottom of the planting hole and make sure at least 1/2 the bulb extends above ground. They are heavy feeders so plant on supplementing them with a liquid fertilizer during the growing season.
Thanks for the question!
