Cut the roses when they are beginning to open, after the petals start to spread but before the flowers are completely open and set them in a vase of water. They will continue to open and you'll be able to enjoy the roses for about 10 days. If you don't cut them to bring them indoors, you can enjoy the flowers on the bush and deadhead or remove them when the petals beging to shrivel or fall from the flower. At that time, cut the flowering stem down to a 5-leaflet leaf. This is where a new flowering stem will develop. Enjoy your roses.
